Hello!
We are Bulletproof Funk, Boston University's one-of-a-kind dance group dedicated to street dance. We focus on breaking (b-boying and b-girling also known as breakdancing), popping, and locking but do not limit ourselves to these styles. This year we are looking forward to creating many opportunities to promote and carry-on the ideals of hip-hop culture throughout the Boston Community. One of the events we are planning to organize is a unique BU breakdance battle! Have you been to a dance battle before? This December, we hope to host a special 1v1 individual and 3v3 crew battles as the main parts of our event. Dancers from all over Boston will compete for the title(and prizes) in the walls of BU.
Your help will be contributed to:
• Hiring the best Judges, Dj’s and MC’s, well known in the community of Boston dancers. Professional dancers in the roles of judges will let us make the event a legitimate competition, experienced DJ will bring the best original music and respectable and well-known MC will bring us into the history and culture of Boston’s hip hop.
• Prize Money! Aside from community respect, it is well-known that the winner of the event gets the monetary prize, which brings the best dancers to the floor! With crowdfunding this year, it will be you who decides how much a winner, 2nd, and 3rd places will get!
• Other expenses like food or drinks for the public will let us make this event free, so anyone, whether competing or not, will be able to dive into the beautiful world of dance!
