Giving Green highlights the local work BU students are working on to positively affect climate change. Often, we think we are just one in a sea of many, and our small efforts will never make a real change. This campaign proves that wrong. One person can have an idea and bring together their community to create change. Your financial support of sustainability at BU facilitates collaboration between students, faculty, and our community so real change an be made.
"My summer fellowship with IGS wouldn’t have been possible without funding from generous donors. Donor support not only helped me survive the summer, but it also facilitated my collaboration with other people.” - Xiaofei Qin (GRS’25,’27)
"The funding from the IGS Summer Fellowship Program is essential to supporting my work. It’s been huge, having the freedom to look at these questions that aren’t tied to a specific grant...you’re not able to answer questions as fast as you want because you’re stuck trying to get funding, so when we have opportunities like this, it’s super beneficial.” - Brian Sousa (SPH’25)
"Thanks to generous donors, I’ve received the financial support and resources needed to explore urgent climate challenges, and I’m able to spend my summer digging into solutions that could improve climate resilience.” - Lucia Vilallonga (CAS’22, ’23)
