Legal Follies is Boston University School of Law’s resident sketch and improv comedy group, bringing laughter and levity to the BU Law community through original, student-written performances. Entirely student-run, Legal Follies offers law students a creative outlet that promotes camaraderie, collaboration, and well-being in the midst of a demanding academic environment.
Each Spring, we have our flagship sketch show: A 90-minute live production featuring original scripts, performed over two nights in Spring 2026, by a cast of 12+ BU Law students selected through auditions. This event offers law students who are also writers and performers, a unique platform to build community while exploring the intersections of law, humor, and popular culture.
We require funding for the following:
- Administrative and tech costs Costumes, props, and set pieces
- Marketing and print materials (playbills, posters, flyers)
- Meals during tech week and show night
We would greatly appreciate any donation amount you can contribute!
However, we do offer some perks as an incentive, outlined below:
- $10-20: a shout-out on our Instagram story the week of performance
- $25-50: same as above and a shout-out in a hard Instagram post
- $75-100: all of the above and added to our Thank You list on our playbills
