We are the Association for Women in Math, an undergraduate club at BU that works to promote community amongst underrepresented groups in the field of mathematics through social events, career-readiness workshops, and seminars.
This semester, we are hoping to expand our outreach to all students at BU interested in mathematics research through hosting an all-day mathematics symposium. We envision a day full of bonding, learning, and appreciation of the fascinating field of math. To help make this happen, we would love your help!
The symposium will feature a few key presentations from mathematics grad students and professors at Boston University, 5 minute popcorn presentations from undergraduate students on any math topics they're interested in, and a catered lunch. The donations will be used for catering the event, advertising, merch, and small gifts for the speakers. Donations will be used throughout the planning process, all culminating towards the day, December 6th.
