I want to advocate for these funds because these causes provide the necessary tools for first generation students and students of lower income backgrounds to have access to the same opportunities and resources. When it comes to navigating the professional landscape, often things like proper attire or networking opportunities are out of reach, and these funds actively work to create equal opportunities for these students. More so, as someone who has utilized at least one of these sources and know of others who have used them as well, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact they have on campus.
