At Wheelock Family Theatre, the stage is more than a place to perform—it’s a place where children discover their confidence, creativity, and sense of belonging.
For more than 45 years, Wheelock has been a creative home for young people and families across Greater Boston. As the region’s only professional theatre dedicated to children and families, our programs have inspired thousands of children to imagine boldly, collaborate with others, and find their voices both onstage and in their everyday lives.
Each year, hundreds of young people participate in Wheelock’s theatre classes, camps, and education programs. Through storytelling, creative play, and ensemble-based learning, students are introduced to new ideas, new perspectives, and new friendships. Along the way, they expand their sense of self, develop empathy for others, and build the confidence to express their unique voice.
Wheelock’s programs are designed to be welcoming and accessible to every child. We believe that when young people from different backgrounds come together to create and tell stories, they not only grow as artists—they grow as people.
For some families, however, the cost of arts education can be a barrier.
Your Giving Day gift can open the door for a child to experience the confidence, creativity, and community that theatre makes possible. A scholarship allows a child to step into a rehearsal room, take creative risks, meet new collaborators, and discover strengths they may not yet know they have.
When you give, you help ensure that the next generation of young artists, storytellers, and leaders has the opportunity to grow, belong, and shine both onstage and off.
