The Dean Emeritus Hubie Jones Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarship awards based on financial need to one or more graduate students at the School of Social Work, with a preference for macro practice majors who have a stated or demonstrated interest in urban social work.
The fund was named in honor of Dean Emeritus Hubie Jones’ continued excellence and leadership in advocacy. An SSW alumna was inspired to establish the fund to help address the widening void between higher education costs and people who pursue social work degrees. The decision to name the scholarship after Dean Emeritus Jones was easy for this alum who has followed his extensive career in social work as his student and mentee. Gifts to this endowed fund will help provide scholarships for all future generations of BUSSW students interested in urban social work.
