The BU Cycling team has existed for many years but has been on an upward trajectory in terms of competition in recent years. Last year, we were able to get a podium in every main season race as well as send Joe Wang (’26) to nationals. Our ambitions for a nationals squad are larger this year, where we hope to send multiple people. Of course, we are also welcoming new racers to fill out the squad and learn how to race.
Fundraising this year will mainly go to support the racers on the team by assisting in covering things like registration fees and travel, which will mainly be within New England as we compete in the ECCC conference. This allows more people to try their hand at racing for the first time as well as allowing the more seasoned racers to go out and score more wins.
