The BU Kendo Club is a team that competes in various collegiate kendo tournaments during the fall and spring semesters. In a typical year, our team competes in one major regional tournament in the fall and three to four collegiate tournaments in the spring, including our own BUKai tournament.
Donations to our club allow us to travel to tournaments such as that at Columbia University, host BUKai, and replace kendo equipment. This also especially helps us pay for beginners' equipment and get them started in the sport, and allows us to take in many more new members. In particular, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly increased the price of kendo equipment from all suppliers.
With a club that is now thirty-plus members strong, we thank you warmly for your continued support.
