The Charm of the Chapel
by Daniel L. Marsh, President of Boston University (1926-1951)
Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Marsh Chapel by adding this special edition of The Charm of the Chapel to your library.
First published in 1950 to commemorate the completion of the chapel on Boston University’s Charles River Campus, this engaging volume offers a rich exploration of the architectural features and artwork that Daniel L. Marsh carefully selected, revealing the vision and meaning behind the chapel’s design, inside and out.
In honor of Marsh Chapel’s 75th Anniversary, this new edition has been thoughtfully republished, featuring new annotations, an introduction by Dean Robert Allan Hill, an "About the Author" section by Marsh scholar and BU historian, Dr. Daryl Healea, and stunning new photography highlighting the Chapel’s stained glass and neo-Gothic architecture. It is our joy to share this work as we celebrate our history and set a course for the next 75 years as “a heart for the heart of the city and a service in the service of the city.”
You may receive a copy of this commemorative edition with a gift of $75 or more. Your gift supports the ongoing work of BU Marsh Chapel & Religious Life.
Copies will be mailed to the address you provide on the BU Giving Form. If you prefer to pick up your book in person, please send an email to chapel@bu.edu.
