The Boston University Graduate Program in Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health (BU URBAN) trains Ph.D. students in Biogeoscience, Environmental Health, Statistics, and Data Sciences to tackle urgent urban environmental challenges. Through an interdisciplinary approach, BU URBAN emphasizes data analysis, field methods, and engagement with policymakers, the private sector, and communities. Our faculty brings expertise in epidemiology, exposure science, and climate-related risks—from air pollution and toxic chemicals to heat and social stressors.
BU URBAN projects have already influenced policy at the city, state, and national levels—and with your support, our students can go even further. Your Giving Day gift will support students in their research, internships, and travel awards that provide hands-on experience at the intersection of science, policy, equity, and sustainability.
Giving Day is Boston University’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Thank you for investing in our growth and in a more just and sustainable future. Let’s come together to make a difference.
