BU Sociology is a vibrant and growing teaching and research community. Our goal this year is to raise funds to enhance the undergraduate experience for sociology majors and minors. Your contribution will directly fund research opportunities, mentorship, events, and hands-on learning for undergraduate students.
With your support we can enhance the undergraduate experience in sociology in these ways:
- Provide additional support for undergraduate independent research
- Expand opportunities to collaborate with faculty on research
- Sustain scholarship support for undergraduates pursuing graduate school
- Expand our undergraduate - graduate mentoring program
- Host departmental lectures and events that foster community
Contributions of any level are sincerely appreciated and will make an important impact. Here are some examples of the ways your support can make an impact at BU Sociology:
- If 45 donors each contributed $20, they could cover the research costs of 5 undergraduate students pursuing independent research.
- If 25 donors each contributed $100, they could defray the costs of 5 undergraduate students’ travel to and participation at the American Sociological Association annual meeting.
- If 15 donors each contributed $250, they could support faculty advising of 5 undergraduate students conducting research over the summer.
Thank you in advance for supporting BU Sociology!
