The Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future conducts interdisciplinary research on globally important issues that affect the human condition over the course of several decades. Through programs of scholarship, outreach, and education, the Pardee Center works to improve public decision-making and policy and to train future generations of interdisciplinary scholars. We envision a future where excellent scholarship improves the long-term human condition. With your gift today, you will help us realize this vision and positively impact interdisciplinary, long-term, global research and the students who will lead it.
The Pardee Center's network of scholars from BU and elsewhere plays a leading role in its research, as well as its seminars, conferences, workshops, and other events. Through a program of faculty seed grants, the Center catalyzes research collaborations that would otherwise be difficult to achieve within traditional academic boundaries. The Graduate Summer Fellows program – open to all BU master’s and doctoral students – helps train the next generation of interdisciplinary scholars in the skills needed to collaborate across disciplines and to communicate scholarly research to audiences beyond academia.
