About

The Dictionary of African Christian Biography collaborates with church and educational institutions in Africa to offer biography training workshops for Africans documenting the stories of their Christian forebears. These biographies, part of the larger narrative of African Christianity, are then published on DACB.org (an open access website), in the free Journal of African Christian Biography and in books disseminated globally and in Africa.

Your gift empowers Africans—women especially—who are interested in writing the critical stories of the historic figures of African Christianity. Donations also support the creation of digital media (short films, podcasts) and provide subsidies for publication. Workshop participants have told us how life changing it was for them to have the support, training, and opportunity to write these stories.
