The PATH (Planning & Advising For Transitions to Higher Education) believes in increasing opportunities for students by making education beyond high school more accessible and equitable. Through near-peer mentoring and postsecondary planning and advising, PATH supports over 6000students every year to realize their college and postsecondary goals. Working in Boston, Somerville and Malden our advisors are embedded in the schools they serve, becoming part of the school community, and impacting change every day.
The majority of students served by PATH advisors are first generation college students, and hail from disenfranchised communities. Your gift supports our advisers in providing 1:1 counseling and advising, family meetings, and workshops. Students who met with PATH-BU advisors were statistically more likely to apply to college (6.6%), receive a scholarship (11.1%), and perceive postsecondary information from high school as helpful (9.1%).
Your gift supports thousands of 12th graders in realizing their dreams and stepping into meaningful college and career opportunities after high school. Thank you for supporting BU PATH!
